This natural material is used in Japan for the production of the traditional Tatami mats. These mats have been used here for centuries as floor covering in homes, in tea houses or as a substrate for futon mattresses. Igusa grass is environmentally friendly, sustainable, feels comfortable and creates a pleasant natural atmosphere. Characteristics of the Nara are the unique woven pattern and the color combination.
